Raymi’s Hair Removal at Mint Laser Clinic

TGIF Toronto! Are you ready for a Raymi “thesix” installment? Awesome. Well, I get my laser hair removal at Mint laser Clinic in Liberty Village. So lets go to there, shall we.

Signing the waiver. I passed! Lol it’s not a test I know but forms stress me out.

I always feel relaxed upon arrival, there’s a chill, calm to MINT. Beauty service facilities tend to be that way.  Serenity. Bliss. Mellow. Etc.

Funky lamps are a designer’s kiss, and a cool barometer of the vibe of the place, the same way a man’s dress shoes reveal loads about the guy. Nice lamps, nice place. Nice shoes, nice job.

I visited MINT this summer for my first treatment, you can check that post out here: Raymi’s Mint Laser Clinic Hair Removal it was totally good times! Here is a video of me getting my bikini lasered it’s pretty surreal and here is a video of me having my bikini line removed. Everyone wants to know if it hurts and how much. You will survive.

One more selfie before I go in. Natural light is always the way to go. I ran over in the cold and yes my nose is a wee snotty.

Let’s do this.

I just make a silly face and hold my breath to disassociate from the sensation. If the pain of a tattoo needle is a 9 then the discomfort associated with laser hair removal is a 1. I wouldn’t even rank it tbh.  Some people have a higher pain threshold.  You must shave the night before to prepare the area, any shorter or lesser hair growth than that and you may experience pinching here and there. You get lubed-up to help with it all so it’s not like dry on-skin contact.

Sweet lawnmower shades.

I remarked on the teeth-whitening brochure when I came in and when we finished up in here MINT informed me it was teeth whitening time. I was so happy. Having my teeth whitened is a dream come true (I’m a coffee drinker plus casual red wino as well) as I am vain about my smile and look overall (who isn’t?). I have one more spot open for A LUCKY BLOGGER to utilize MINT’s services and you can enter by commenting on this post FYI.

This is awesome. You can trip out to the wall while you have your teeth done.

See what I mean?

Wearing these fine bad boys. Sorry these are all phone pics. I jogged over to MINT left the camera at home oops.

My colleague showed up and I could hear him for ten minutes prior to him sticking his head in my room. I’m a voyeur like the rest and best of ’em too I guess. It was just kind of funny because it was torturous as I could not move from this chair lol.

The first 15 minutes begins. You can have a full or half-treatment on your teeth (15 minutes + 15 minutes = 30 mins). You know I went in full. So that’s 15 minutes times 2 as I just mathematically broke down for you. I will go back some point this month or next for another round to really get my teeth nice and white.

Lots of time to think about your thoughts. Looking at your phone is kind of impossible in the red glasses plus your mouth keeps foaming and filling up with drool from the gel so you may as well just enjoy the quiet storm of your own thoughts til it’s all said and done.

I got up several times each round of 15 mins to spit in the garbage can behind me to the point where I asked for the lid of it to just remain open. I got drool everywhere on myself, hair, shirt, face. When beauty gets dirty! 😉

There is a mouth guard full of gel for the top and lower row of teeth then you align your mouth with this uv blue light robot thing and then you wait. Drool and wait and beautify! Make sure you don’t swallow.

The mirror is so you can compare your teeth to all the yellow teeth tones your teeth might possibly be. Mine weren’t that yellow to begin with, maybe an oatmeal white. EWWWWW hahaha.

There’s my chompers.

My friend Shannon of Brass Vixens Pole Dancing & Fitness Studios went for hair removal service too, can’t wait to see her post all about it.
