The Toronto West Flea Market

Returned to The Toronto West Flea Market on Sunday and had a bad ass time. That’s the video of it, which people find annoying because of the clicks. Well I also find people annoying but it doesn’t stop me from dealing with ’em so…

…you can check it out in picture written style then.

Handily located by the ttc bus stop. Not that I take those.

We parked at St. Clair and walked over to Weston Rd.

You could literally jump into the market straight out the bus lol.

Overload to the senses, this flea market has got it all.

Including a Marilyn Monroe without underwear on mural make sure you find it.

I had a secret mission which was to put together two epic ensemble/costumes and what a perfect place to look.

My eyeballs were going crazy at all the wares on offer.

Go to here if you want something fly. There’s a lot of stalls with sick fashions to be honest.

Was this fate I do not know but it was the first corner we turned in the thick of the market and seeing the mannequin, the jumpsuit on her but the lady who ran the stall definitely helped seal the deal we loved her. Such a character and crazy AF! She talks to her mannequin. I guess you go nuts with boredom in there and loneliness I dunno. But she started yelling out Tyra, Tyra! I looked around thinking another lady would appear and tell me the price of the jumpsuit…err nope, the mannequin IS Tyra. Nice. Marley looks concerned though, he’s like please. Please Raymi, take me far, far away from here.

You know I had to get these earrings too. She threw in another amazing ghetto fab huge pair as well, and snaps.

I’m wearing this in Detroit for Theatre Bizarre. It’s going to be off the chain. I have black feather wings to wear along with. Love jumpsuits.

But can I drop it low? Oh, yes I can bro it’s a sale.

Lots of stuff for the kiddies too.

Map in case you get lost. Which I did. I had to call Rob I was going in circles and yes I was scared.

Watching the patrons watch twerking dvd’s. You know I loved it.

The thirst was real after that experience lol. Time for a sugar cane ginger lime juice. SO GOOD.

The prep obsessive compulsively or ceremoniously claps his hands two-three times after each cane he shoves in the machine. I bet his hands are sticky and he tries to slap it off. Still. Obsessive knows obsessive. It’s cool whatever it is.

I was falling apart there man I needed that. I was overheated, sweating, the beginnings of coming down with something and it was super mild this day felt wicked overdressed. The guy in the background is also taken by mad thirst.

I would go back and eat that entire food court about now. Can you see me taking an insatgram break back there? I was grooving to reggaeton with my sugarcane drink, hashtagging my new jumpsuit brappity brap you know it.

Then I bought an old man soda pop for the road (jarritos it’s called) from the prettiest girl ever and I was 5 cents short too. Cool.

And because Rob is nosy and has no social decorum whatsoever, we got to learn about these Cuban dishes you can see the one dude giving Rob a death stare.

They always warm up to us though. Thanks to me.

Lets go for another round as well as get far away from people trying to eat.

Stripper clothes too and lots of hoochie mama looks you know I am def going back gots to represent Toronto.

This is me after having a little meltdown after being lost. Well not a meltdown, I just gave a little speech. In the video you hear me saying, “and I knew you weren’t looking for ME either.” LOL. Oh Raymi. Have you ever been lost in a Woolco before? Yes. A Woolco in Meadowvale. #scarredforlife.

That lady on the right yelled at me to not take pictures in her stall. But I got a picture of her vintage wrestler anyway. Look at her guarding her stall from me. Nice business etiquette.

I smelled garlic here and I wished we got empanadas. We went to Value village afterward and I got more of my costume attire but this post isn’t about VV now is it? See the Apu poster up there? Nice.

Always harness your moving through the crowd skills. I am awesome at it. Till next time Toronto!
